A moped rider has been critically injured after she drove her moped into a utility police in Norfolk on July 7, 2012.
Norfolk police said the women is suffering from life-threatening injuries after the accident on Halprin Drive. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

He died at the scene of the accident. According to Virginia State Police, on June 30, 2012 at about 6 p.m., Jacob Beasley of Cypress, Texas was riding his Yamaha YFR motorcycle north on Route 15. He lost control of the motorcycle close to the intersection with Route 53 in Palmyra, NBC29 reported.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) there are more than 100,000 motorcycle accidents every year. Because they lack any external covering or protection, motorcyclists are a staggering 39 times more likely to die in a motor vehicle accident than other motorists, and they also stand a significantly higher chance of sustaining a serious personal injury.
